Congratulations to Jovanny Marmolejo, who played in the Arizona State Golf Tournament on May 11th and May 12th. He represented Parker High School and he is also a Le Pera Rebel Alumni. He was among the top seventeen golfers in Division III. He represented himself and his community very well. I was the first golfer in the past 16 years at PHS to make it to the state tournament.
Jovanny put in the work needed to be a success in his sport. He would often work in the mornings, during the summer, with his uncles on their farm, and then heading to Emerald Canyon Golf course in the early afternoon to get in a quick 9 holes. If not Emerald, then he would go down to the Blythe Golf Course and get in a game.
We are a proud of this young man and all that he has accomplish in school and on the golf course.
Jovanny was honored today by PHS with a parade through Parker and here at Le Pera Elementary School.
