The Career and Technical Education (CTE) department will be hosting a summer camp for students currently in 5th thru 8th grades. The camp will be held Monday, June 21 thru Wednesday, June 23 from 9 am until 4 pm daily at the high school. Transportation will not be provided.
Camp will be limited to the first 100 students so class sizes are not too big. The goal of the camp is to let students know what CTE programs are offered at the high school and get them excited to explore a program when they get here.
Registration is open to current 7th and 8th graders the week of April 19th. If there are not 100 students by April 27, then registration will open to current 5th and 6th graders. Lunch will be provided each day, and students will get a t-shirt for participating.
Students will be broken into 6 groups. They will spend 3 hours in each program. They will rotate to a new CTE program after lunch each day. AWC and Arizona at Work will be here to work with the students for 30 minutes each day after lunch break. This will be a great opportunity for students to learn about the CTE programs offered at the high school.
